Tasting notes: smooth and mellow, notes of rum soaked raisins and oatmeal cookies

The beans: Grown in the Maya Mountain North Forest Reserve deep in the jungle of Toledo, Belize, as part of an initiative run by by a group of Q'eqchi' farmers and a conservation NGO to reforest an area previously invaded by loggers and cattle farmers. Fermented by the experts at Maya Mountain Cacao, we were lucky to secure one of only six sacks of beans available from last years harvest
